CWF Cited in Al Jazeera America
The Center for Worker Freedom (CWF) was credited in Al Jazeera America on January 16, 2015 for its enduring support of the Gerawan farmworkers in Fresno, California, who have been disenfranchised at the hands of public officials.
The farmworkers voted to decertify the United Farm Workers (UFW) from their workplace in November 2013, but California’s Agricultural Labor Relations Board (ALRB) refuses to acknowledge the votes.
CWF continues to organize freedom rallies and generate publicity for these workers in hopes that they will no longer be forced into the UFW against their will:
“Support for Gerawan is coming from the Center for Worker Freedom, a subsidiary of the conservative advocacy group Americans for Tax Reform…The Center for Worker Freedom has helped organize publicity for the drive to get rid of the UFW and for the appeals of the mandatory mediation law.”
