Historic Vote Begins in Chattanooga

Today the workers at Volkswagen's Chattanooga assembly plant will begin the process of deciding whether or not they want the United Auto Workers (UAW) to represent them.

The results, whatever they may be, will have long-lasting consequences for the union, the communities in Hamilton County, Tennessee, and the nation.

We hope and trust that the election will be a free and fair one, and that each worker will get the opportunity to make an informed decision.

The United Auto Workers union supports a wide variety of local, state and national politicians who are hostile to American’s Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.

As part of a larger strategy to change the political culture of the South, the UAW has already given large sums to politicians who favor strict gun control legislation, including in Tennessee and Alabama.

Volkswagen Worker Speaks Out Against Union

An employee at Chattanooga’s Volkswagen plant voiced her opinion against the United Auto Worker union in a letter today published in the Chattanoogan. Non- Management Specialist Kaye Fiorello urges her fellow employees to “Please make an educated vote and not an emotional one.”

Fiorello brings up some of the alternatives that the employees have instead of an organized union stating:

"The Center for Worker Freedom, an anti-union group sponsored by Americans for Tax Reform, is placing multiple billboards around a Chattanooga, Tenn., VW factory that houses 2,500 workers in an effort to spread the word that employees do not have to join the United Auto Workers ahead of a unionization vote scheduled for next week."

BREAKING: UAW Intimidation at Volkswagen Plant

Sources tell the Center for Worker Freedom that United Auto Worker members are roaming at will through the halls of Volkswagen's Chattanooga plant this afternoon.

The union troops are reportedly walking up and down the aisles wearing black shirts with the UAW logo emblazoned across them in a clear effort to intimidate the employees.

The union has reportedly been given safety glasses by the company so that they can fully access the production lines.

VW Workers Denied Voice - Again

On Monday, February 3rd, Volkswagen workers concerned about the possibility that the United Auto Workers is getting an unfair advatnage in its efforts to unionize their Chattanooga plant, delivered two letters to upper managemnt in which they requested the opportunity to share with their co-workers the other, anti-UAW side of the argument. It was the second set of such letter that the workers, led by Mike Burton, purveyor of www.no2uaw.com, had delivered.

Tennessee isn’t known for being the most progressive place in the country. They love their communities, guns and especially their faith. Being the 5^th most religious state in the country, according to Pew Research, you can probably say that their religious moral values are integrated into everyday life in Tennessee, including their politics.
