The Center for Worker Freedom was credited by the Washington Post on November 19, 2014 for its role in assisting Volkswagen plant workers to defeat the United Auto Workers union in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

“Assisted by organizers from Grover Norquist’s anti-union group Americans for Tax Reform, a faction of workers within the plant started organizing against the UAW, arguing that its record in Detroit shouldn’t recommend it for a role at VW.”

Union Squeezes U.S. Ports for Holiday Season

On Friday October 31, 2014, it appeared as though the International Longshore and Warehouse Union (ILWU) began organizing worker slowdowns along the West Coast-home to ports that allow more than half of all freight to enter and exit the United States.  These worker slowages started in Tacoma, spread to Seattle that weekend, and have recently began in Los Angeles and Long Beach.
