On February 16, 2017, the New Hampshire House voted 200-177 to kill the Right-to-Work bill. New Hampshire would have been the 29^th Right-to-Work state and the first state in New England to become Right-to-Work.

On January 16, 2017, President Donald Trump nominated R. Alexander Acosta as Secretary of Labor after Andrew Puzder withdrew his nomination the day before.

Acosta was born to Cuban parents and is a native of Miami, Florida. He received his bachelor’s degree in Economics from Harvard University and his law degree from Harvard Law School.

The article was about the nurses' union, National Nurses United, attempting to unionize nurses at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD.

The union held a protest on February 13, 2017 at the hospital to encourage nurses to support it.
