CWF in Forbes
Matt Patterson, Executive Director of the Center for Worker Freedom, had an article published in Forbes on November 3, 2016, about how union leaders force Catholic members to support pro-choice candidates and causes:
The Northeast and Midwest of the United States are home to millions of devout Catholics.
In Pennsylvania alone, there are an estimated 3.3 million Catholic faithful. Philadelphia is even home to the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, one of the most beautiful Catholic structures in the country.
These regions are also home to millions of union workers, bound by collective bargaining agreements in both the public and private sectors. Of course the two demographics overlap; there are many thousands of union workers who also belong to the Catholic Church.
Many of these workers go to church on Sunday and pray to a God who cherishes life and enjoins us to preserve and protect it. Unfortunately many of these same workers will then go to work the next day and pay dues to a union that uses their money to fund pro-abortion candidates and causes.
