A 2014 Gallup poll found 71 percent of Americans support right-to-work, which allows workers the freedom to opt-out of union membership and dues.
In fact, right-to-work is becoming so popular that late last year, brave county officials in Kentucky began using the state’s home rule statute to go around state legislators – who block state-wide right-to-work – and pass it as county ordinances.
Kentuckians overwhelming favor right-to-work when properly informed about it, according to a recent Americans for Prosperity survey. However, Kentucky Attorney General and Gubernatorial candidate Jack Conway will not support it.
The Center for Worker Freedom’s Margaret Mire recently highlighted Conway’s stance and what it means for Kentuckians in an article for the Bowling Green Daily News:
“As the 2015 election approaches, Kentucky voters should take note: A governor should be elected for their eagerness to promote policies supported by their constituents. Conway is openly opposing right-to-work in order to serve the “needs” of his union friends at the expense of Kentucky voters.
A vote for Conway is a vote for union bosses – faceless bureaucrats who take money from Kentucky workers and use it to fund Left-wing politicians.”
