Congratulations to Patrick Pizzella and John Ring!
The U.S. Senate voted this week to confirm both Patrick Pizzella to be Deputy Secretary at the Department of Labor and John Ring to be Board Member of the National Labor Relations Board. The Center for Worker Freedom applauds the U.S. Senate for voting for these highly qualified worker freedom advocates.
We look forward to fewer burdensome regulations, allowing both employer and employees to thrive.
We join these leaders in their congratulations:
Senator Lamar Alexander, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions:
United States Senator Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) today released the following statement on his vote to confirm Patrick Pizzella to Serve as Deputy Secretary of Labor:
“As we learned at his confirmation hearing last July—Patrick Pizzella is well-qualified to be Deputy Secretary of Labor. America’s workers deserve a properly staffed Labor Department to help ensure workers are safe on the job and are paid the wages they’re owed as well as help ensure employers comply with our laws and regulations.”
Rep. Virginia Foxx, chairwoman of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, and Rep. Tim Walberg, chairman of the Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor and Pensions:
Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC), chairwoman of the House Committee on Education and the Workforce, and Rep. Tim Walberg (R-MI), chairman of the Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions, issued the following joint statement after the Senate's confirmation of John Ring to join the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).
“John Ring has proven himself to be a strong, experienced, and fair leader when it comes to representing workers and job creators. Mr. Ring will be a principled and objective voice on the NLRB, and not a rubber stamp to special interests that were in favor during the Obama Administration. We commend the Senate for voting to confirm him to the NLRB so that workers can count on a balanced and commonsense approach from the Board moving forward.”
Senator Lamar Alexander, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions:
United States Senator Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) today released the following statement on his vote to confirm John Ring to serve as a member of the National Labor Relations Board:
“The National Labor Relations Board is important to our nation’s workers and employers. John Ring’s varied experiences working for a labor union while attending college and law school, and then having been a management lawyer will be a strength to the board. I am glad the Senate confirmed his nomination today.”
In addition, it was just announced today that John Ring will be the new Chairman of the National Labor Relations Board.
Congratulations to both men!
