KS State Government Department Aids SEIU’s Pursuit of Unionized Healthcare Workers
Kansas state department uses tax dollars to spread union information

Washington, D.C. — The Alliance for Worker Freedom (AWF) has asked for the records and financial information from several Kansas State government Departments after learning they used taxpayer money and government resources to collect information for the Service Employees International Union (SEIU).

AWF received correspondence from Secretary of the Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services, Don Jordan. Secretary Jordon defended the actions of his Department and went as far as to say :

“I support the effort to get union information to workers paid with state revenues”
-Don Jordan, Secretary of Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services

“It is bad enough that Kansas is doing work for the SEIU, collecting healthcare workers’ personal information, but for Secretary Jordan to flaunt this waste of state resources is altogether shocking,” said Brian Johnson, Executive Director for AWF.

“It presents a huge problem when a state [Kansas] that will face a $1 billion budget deficit next year is using taxpayer revenues to assist unions,” added Johnson.
