CWF Joins Coalition Urging Congress to Reject DOL Overtime Rule

In a letter with 16 other pro-worker organizations, the Center for Worker Freedom has urged Congress to support S. 2707 and H.R. 4773, the Protecting Workplace Advancement and Opportunity Act (PWAOA), and all efforts to "defund, block, and otherwise nullify" the Obama Administration’s effort to change overtime rules.

CWF believes Obama's new proposed overtime regulations would dramatically increase labor costs and make many workers ineligible for the benefits they depend on, such as flexible work arrangements. It would also impose harsh overtime costs on small businesses and independent contractors, making them less productive.

These overtime regulations undermine American small businesses and entrepreneurs and we ask Congress to nullify the rule.
